Our Vitamin D3 3000iu Capsules are derived from algae to provide a high dose vegan vitamin D supplement. Vitamin D regulates the amount of calcium and phosphate in the body, both needed for healthy bones, teeth and muscles. It is found naturally in a small number of foods including oily fish, red meat, liver and egg yolks and in fortified food like breakfast cereals.  Vitamin D is known as the sunshine vitamin, because our bodies generally rely on our skin making vitamin D from sunlight.  It is recommended that Vitamin D is taken all year round but particularly during the winter months and those who lack natural sunlight.
